Lease Operator Training
Lease Operator Training - does it end when an operator is assigned his truck and route?
If it does, then the success of that lease operator and the success of the operating company has a serious expiration date. The key to a solid, efficient operator is constant training. Some is formal, while much of it comes as OTJ (on-the-job), learning from experiences or by working along side a veteran.
Training keeps the mind fresh, and fresh minds aspire for more experiences and responsibility.
Through my time in various roles in oil and gas production, I thrived with each new skill I learned. My favorite skill, without a doubt, was training fellow operators and foremen to the best of my ability. If you don’t train your replacements, then the company can’t promote you!
